I also generally fill my fluids before changing the associated sensors or lines. Just did this with my oil pressure sensor. I like to think of it as "verifying that there's no blockage" as opposed to "not thinking and doing stuff out of order."

Great idea. Are you wiring the third wire to the original temp gauge? Did it work? I am converting an Australian 1982 VH Commodore 6 cylinder to LS1 and I am looking for ideas to convert temp sensor and oil pressure senders to suit original gauges.

Yes I wired it to the factory gauge it worked great to my gauge needle fell off lol due to age, I installed a after market temp gauge and hooked it into my factory wire and works just like factory, I have a video coming soon on that install

Hey buddy just swapped a 6.0 ls lq4 in my 77 c10 what upper radiator hose are you using can’t find any with great fitment

I used the factory 2003 LS radiator hoses on both the LS c10 and the truck one in video, they will fit just use some dawn dish soap when u go slide them on the inside
