Ok, as someone who knows nothing about sewing, i have a question. What is the point of cutting out two identical sides/shapes for the front and back and then sewing them back into together again, when you can just fold the material over (into half) cut the shape out once, and have only one side to sew? Thanks so much.

i have small Rabbit farm and i preserve many rabbit Hides after i eat them. i think it will be a waste to throw such a good piece of fur. at first i collect them as a hobby but now after watching this i think i am gonna make a jacket out of fur. it will also honor all those rabbits too. But cant you make a tutorial to how to make things from hide

How much fabric would you suggest to make a size large or extra large ?

I think 2 yards would be good depending on how wide it is on the roll. The sales people at the fabric store should be able to help you. I usually buy extra and save the rest for other projects. Look in the costume section of the pattern books. Find something similar to what you want, then look at back of the actual pattern for your measurements. It will tell you how much material you need.

My vest was longer in the back than in the front, so that was what I was referring to as asymmetrical. Left and right side were still symmetrical, sorry if there was confusion!

Regular needle for most of the vest, and then hand stitch for the armholes.

Pasang Srp Either is fine! I used machine for the most part and just hand stitched the lining to attach it to the vest since it's hard to do with a machine.
