As someone who is a budding sewing KZbinr… this came at the right time 😊

My girl. I’m pretty sure most of us will watch whatever you upload. I’d watch you wash dishes and talk about random stuff <3 also! Sew without filming!!! Be alone and enjoy it!!!

I know as a viewer I will never understand the complexity that comes with being a KZbinr but I’ve found so much inspiration from you in my sewing and just general life. I love seeing whatever content you want to put out as I enjoy watching your personality particularly as it changes with life changes :)

I've followed this video for the past four years on all my Halloween costumes and it still works great! This year for Halloween I'm gonna go as Feathertail from Warrior Cats and this style of costume would work well for that. I came back because I was going to sew a hood to add to the costume, but it looks like your website expired. Do you have the measurements archived anywhere?

I feel so seen heard loved and accepted. I was pulled to watch this video because I relate to analyzing EVERYTHING. I’ve come to accept that’s just who I am. I don’t love it about myself but I’m aware and I can’t hide it or fake it. What I have discovered is letting the truth explore the tiny things, but also not shaming that side. Allowing it to blossom and be seen but it doesn’t run the whole stage in my life. I often run 🏃♀️ when things get to hard or feel uncomfortable but I remind myself that I have magnetized places people and things that are just as odd and off putting as me and it’s all love. I am okay just the way I am, everything is gonna be okay, and I can relax no one is keeping score of my life points but me and I want to be viewed differently. I can DO WHATEVER I WANT, and I’m not here to Please anyone. Whoever likes me likes me, whoever doesn’t who cares. We cannot be pressured to be everything to everyone. It is okay to upset people and take care of yourself! And I would record everything and selectively choose what to post, so that way you’re not choosing your passion over purpose.. your purpose sewing and living your life is engaging and you do it well it’s okay that you make mistakes and things aren’t perfect. We need real people who stay true to themselves, and if that means shifting into a different layer then so be it. Your true community and followers are here for you Wendy!

By now you will have settled in with that beautiful baby. Congratulations and all happiness! I just wanted to let you know that for all three of my pregnancies about two weeks before my daughters were born I got ill. The first time I was alarmed, the second time I thought 'what again?!?', the third time I thought, 'yeah, right. This is now a pattern.' I never found out if it held for the fourth because three was enough. Take care, be well and be relaxed. You got this.

Wendy you have took the stress of wanting to learn to sew away. You have made someone that does not really know what to do when sewing feel like you can figure it out. Please ignore people that are rude and that don’t appreciate the channel that you have built. It is very refreshing! I love you channel because you have always been supportive of your KZbin viewers but I definitely love your channel! I would be very sad if you left completely! You are amazing! 🤍✨🤩

Wendy~ Really appreciated your thoughts regarding content creation, resonated with the juxtapositions you struggle with. I think we can do away with the 'fake it till you make it' concept, especially within the context of current events and the nature of life.

Hey Wendy! I know this is an older video but I have watched it a few times now for different patterns as I am new to sewing and it absolutely blew my mind to see you putting the back and front pattern on the same piece of paper hahahah. That is SO HANDY!! I move a lot and it is so convenient to have compact patterns so you mentioning about making the shorts pattern and just extending them... It may be obvious for some but it was NOT for me and was so helpful! Thank you

I started to sew consistently this May and the only reason it’s going well is that I’ve got 2 little kids and a baby who sloooooows me down. I only have an hour in the day and maybe another hour at night to do sewing so I only can sew a couple a seams or finish a task. This prevents me from rushing and skipping steps. Sure, I takes a week to make anything this way but I have a very high success rate this way. I take time to make toile and to amend the pattern and make another toile. Will make sure I have the right trims, will rip out a seam 2-3 times till it’s right. And it truly truly shows I’m at the end! I adore my stuff and learned to be patient and disciplined in my sewing. So worth it. So yeah, my point is please slow down if you want good results! Sending love from Texas ❤

Oooooh the pressure to be the “good girl” and reap all the promised rewards is so insidious that even after growing up and being entire adults who know it’s unhealthy it still lurks behind our minds. It’s good to have you back and in the years since I have watched you I feel like we’ve seen you grow and develop. For me your channel is not just about the sewing but the reflections you share about life, choices, what brings you joy and your frankness are added elements that make it a real joy for me to watch.

I know you don't feel like a "frontier girl" but I've always appreciated your honest perspectives, because that's a quality I admire in the people I look up to. Thank you Wendy for sharing your time with us!

Awesome explanation, thank you :) I have a question: How would you go about making a crop top (i have a bralette pattern) that I want to make a little bit longer, like between 2 to 4 inches? The pattern has a V where the waist is. I tried adding at the bottom but if i add more inches, it creates somewhat on a bell shape. If I add in the middle of the pattern, it changes that V shape.
