Thank you for a lovely tutorial! These were all creative cute and I appreciated seeing different ways to cut the strips. I used half a yard to make a shorter blanket for use at a desk and the braided edge worked sooo perfectly to wrap around the shoulders, not get in the way, and have a cute border edge that my cats won't eat.

Hello, i was wondering how well the looped edge stays in after a wash or rough handling?

This sample blanket I made is in perfect condition after a year of use.

This is AWESOME! I really really want to do this!! How much fabric would you recommend for a twin-sized bed?

If I want the straps longer can I cut them 7 inches instead of 5 and if so would I make the square 7 on the corners?
@HelloSewing2 жыл бұрын
Yes and yes. But I would try this on a scrap piece to see whether I like them that long
@allisonsmith8082 Жыл бұрын
Why do we cut the corners? I’m confused on that. Can I not just keep tying?
@jennifergiacalone17437 ай бұрын
If my starting felt is a different size than yours ( mine is 36 x 58, im doing a baby blanket) do i use the same measurement of 5 x5 squares off the corners?
@HelloSewing3 ай бұрын
Yes I would use the same measurement for the corners as if you make them smaller it would be really hard to tie

I love these blanket but I’m 6ft. So they are not long enough I would love to find a way to put more than one together. Any ideas??
@HelloSewing2 жыл бұрын
You can cut the fleece however kong you'd like. Size given is just an example

@@HelloSewing even if I get it off the roll it’s still only one size width so I was hoping to find a way to make it bigger.. ty
@ptuxbury29 күн бұрын
@@baabyherman3716 I'm also 6 feet, and I just startd with 90" x 58" pieces. The length is good enough to cover my feet, and I don't mind the width because I typically just use it to keep me warm while curled up on the couch and I find the 58" to be sufficient.

Do these come undone in the washing machine for the no tie pattern?

No, the knots hold

Please stop making these cheap and nasty blankets. No one really wants them. They look so bad. The knots are lumpy and bumpy and annoying. If you’re going to make a blanket sew it and show some real skill.

These blankets are well received by many. Gifting them to someone who is in a nursing home or rehab facility brings joy. Thanks for the precise instructions. I'm working on making these and I'm a newbie.😊

I know this is a year late but I had to comment. I can 100% say you are wrong. I work for a popular store that sells fabric and I sell fabric for no sew blankets all day long, every single day. People make them and donate them, people make them for Christmas gifts, kids make them when they are starting out in fabric, and parents make them with their kids as a way to bond. You couldn't be more WRONG.
