Very good instructions. Like how you showed how to use round jewelers pliers for the complete build. The one thing that im having issues finding is the tubing. What is it called? Also, you may want to spend some time with a can of Brasso to get those blades sparkling 😋😋😋. Thanks for the vid! Edit 10/19/23: I watched this again. You can't see anything of the adding the tubing. I'd like to see it so I can add hoochies on my rigs based off your instructions

Hi, great video. Is the black tubing some kind of tubing used in fishing? What is the diameter? Again, great video. I subscribed. Greetings from the great state of Maine in the U.S.

Hi Neil, the tubing is silicone tubing, made specifically for the purpose. It comes in various diameters/colours, and Spintec in the UK is the place to get it. It amazes me that you guys don't seem to use these lures so extensively on your side of the water. I once gave a few to a client from Ohio who I'd guided for, but he never told me how he got on with them.

Thanks for taking the time to get back to me. I love your tip of taping the bodies for cutting. It makes a huge difference. I'm waiting on my brass nose cones to come in, but I'm still making some great lures. Thanks brother.

We have them in the stores in the Pacific Northwest but they are not popular. The fish aren't nearly as attracted to them. Plus they're a bit spendy as well

@@guyh.4553 I bought one online by Mepps. It was pink. I got a 5lb 2oz largemouth on my first cast. Three casts later, I got snagged on something and lost the darn thing. I believe they are geared towards Salmon and or Pike. I just started making them. I make them big about 3/8" around and small 1/4" around. I make them from a half inch up to two and a half inches.

Nice video , have you any link to where you get the silicone tubes and do you buy or make your own leads

Thanks for your comment. I buy the bodies from Spintec. Unfortunately they don't carry the same selection as they used to. I usually buy leads from them too, but often re purpose old ones if I find them.
