Correct, the car takes longer than that to assemble... The factory once going, can have a car come off the end of the line every 86 seconds because they are building more than one at a time. The car itself, including assembling the engine, drivetrain, painting, installing interior parts, connecting electrical system, testing, and quality control checks take far longer... More like a day (17-18hrs) or more to complete from start to finish.

I have one a 2 door model and like it, but my driver's door doesn't fit well at all, out of alignment with the rear window surround, so the door rubber makes a noise when I open the door, this rubber is not going to last long, the laser must have been out of alignment on my day! I reported it but they didn't do anything,must see it fixed before it is out of warranty. A great car and would buy another one.

yes it is... have you ever been to a car plant? the hard part is for people like me to install the robots and conveyors and get them all setup to run this efficiently, the line workers have a meticulous repetitive job of pushing a button or running a few bolts in.

Yeah not since 2002 when there was basically just the engine body and paint along with less rules and legislation of what has to go in a vehicle, the time it takes isn't 86 seconds it's a fiesta comes off the line every 86 seconds interested to see your source for every 40 seconds, there used to be 40,000 people employed there now only around 2000 times change products change everything changes I'd rather drive a new fiesta over a 2002 one regardless of build time
