You Will Need:
• Large platter
• Cutting board
• Produce knife
• Paring knife
• Suggested Fruit: Pineapple, Cantaloupe, Honeydew Melon, Oranges, Apples,
Strawberries, Red and green grapes
• Carrot Tulip Flower
• Carrot Ribbon Flowers
• Carrot Bird
Directions
1. Using the produce knife, at an angle, cut a small slice off of the greens of the Pineapple.
2. Next, slice the entire top of the pineapple off to use as a centerpiece on the platter.
3. Begin slicing the Pineapple, as shown. Use about ¼ of the pineapple for the Fruit platter. Slice as shown.
4. Next, slice the Cantaloupe in half. Then, make 3 slices, 1-1/2 - 2" thick and then cut each in half. Slice, as shown. Repeat for each slice. Bend the fruit over into a triangle, as shown.
5. Repeat Step #4 with the Honeydew melon.
6. Slice Oranges into 8 sections. Slice and bend, as shown.
7. Cut an Apple in half. Cut a thin wedge out on the top and move it forward, then cut another thin wedge and move it forward. Repeat. Repeat steps on each side of the apple.
8. If you want a fancy strawberry, cut some slices into the strawberry (without cutting all the way through) and fan it out. Do that for a few of the strawberries and then put the rest of the strawberries on the plate.
9. Put the green and red grapes onto the plate.
10. If desired, add the Carrot Bird, Tulip Flowers and Ribbon Flowers to the Plate for decoration.
