Your technique is the best! I was able to make 4 bags last night. I watched videos all over the internet and made many bags in the last few years. None of the instructions were easy enough that I would want to do them again. I was always looking for a way to whip up a bag quickly. YOUR WAY was EASY! I've been looking at drawstring bag tutorials for days. In some of my board games you need to draw something from a bag but the included bags were all fraying and terrible quality. All the other tutorials I watched were overtly complicated with very specific measurements. This is just *chef's kiss*. Your method of sewing both layers together and flipping it is something I had never seen before but I LOVE IT! I'm going to get a few nice fabrics and sew a bunch of these. Thanks SO SO MUCH! 🙏

I am making a gift bag for the wife of a teacher friend in Melbourne (I am in the US)..And she has an expression: "So, what's your strawberry bit?" She means what valuable things did you take away from the lessons? Well, it happens - someone gave me two lovely pink strawberry buttons and I found fabric that matches it, bang on. And I have the lining and some wonderful pink silk cord. Now I know how to whip this up in no time flat and have it look perfect!! Cheers from New Orleans (it is October 2024 a I write)...

@@megelles Just finished up. Came out adorable...Waiting for the textile glue to dry on the tiny little flaps. Once that's snug and flat... I can tie the little strawberries to the drawstring ends. And when Victoria pulls it tight, the berries will dangle prettily over the strawberry fabric. Oh, my how dainty....Thanks again and big hugs from the French Quarter..

Fairly simple for someone who doesn’t sew very much! Truthfully, the drawstring part was the trickiest for me but I finally got it!! I used ribbon instead of cording.

Omg. A few videos in you've saved me tons of time. We retired a bit more rural in southern calif. I volunteered at small thrift her to get to know town and people. I realized eventually the town tshirts for events and tourist type ones would eventually get thrown away because people just don't wear certain ones. I bought them only $1. And made draw string back pack packs.nthey will buy as backpack. I never sold before living here. I dont use hardware or grommets. I leave a space at bottom corner to sew inside. I tried lining them but the old one step at a time method or like doing the inside out sausage casing just too tedious and noting where to leave drawstring holes is confusing. I'm trying this!

I am not 100% sure what you mean The bag is fully reversible. So the print can be the lining. Cheers Lisa

@@megelles My lining has a cool flower print on it. I want to make sure when my bag is done, the flower print will show on the inside. So when I start sewing the liner and outside fabric together, do I place the liner right sides together as well as the outside fabric???

I love this bag. Best design and easy too. I’m going to make 2 of these for my nieces who are flower girls for my son’s wedding coming up. They will be made out of pink satin lined with white satin.
