Hello, I am a self-taught fursuit maker who has been making fursuits for over 5 years now, these are my personal tips and tricks on how I hand sew fursuit tails! This is my step-by-step tutorial on how I make tails

Oh this is an amazing tutorial! I do not own a sewing machine and honestly don't even know how they work (is it black magic??) so it's great to know hand sewing is possible and it'll still turn out looking great!

@@SaturnsSerenade no never use safety pins! Itz icy, when you make a fursuit there is a small hole there the tail goes. And on the tail there is a belt loop, you put a belt through those, then through the suit. Securing it around you, or some people sew it to the suit itself. But never use safety pins pls.

My guide: craft foam, any color of felt, fake fur, hot glue gun. Get two layers of felt, put a paper of your tail on top then cut out. Hot glue the two pieces together. Add the fake fur the same way. Fill with foam, get a sewing kit and sow the opening, hot glue it to a special belt, one you made also

I know most people commented amazon, hobby lobby, joans, etc. But i would never recommend buying fur from those places, there 99 percent of the time very low quality. I would recomend fabric.com or bigZ fabric.

Actually it doesn't imo. You sew it then you flip it right side out, brush the tail out and make sure the fur pieces are not trapped in between the stitches, and then flip it inside out after you are satisfied and cut off the excess seam allowance so it's not bulky. But it really comes down to personal preference.
