Music ist just so crazy... Willford "basic" style is progressive/melodic and when he changes to another style (like FutureBass), he uses a progressive house structure, and it creates something really unique. I think if you're a producer, the best way to create your own style is to spend a lot of time to master a style or a bunch if style, and then switch to another, and btw you'll create something unique to you. I think...

some constructive criticism, being new to producing I'd love just a bit more explaining/ method behind the madness? I know it's a "challenge vid", its entertaining don't get me wrong but just a few tips/ tricks would make my life so much better lol. For example: you talk about the compression and you were messing with some knobs and I was confused af, still don't know why you did it ?

I understand the criticism, but there was thought behind it lemme explain. I've got 2 new series coming up (drop design sessions being one of them and music production 4 dummies being the second) and I designed the idea of those two ideas to fit a certain level of difficulty. Drop design sessions is my challenge series, indeed meant to be more entertaining and meant for the little bit more advanced producers in my fanbase. Then the second series idea (music production 4 dummies) will be designed to explain EVERY basic there is to be known about a subject. Is it about music theory? I'm starting at what names the notes on a keyboard have and ending on how to play a D# over a G, trying to hit everything on the way. Is it about compression? I'm starting at why you would use compression and what it does and ending on explaining every knob on a basic compressor. If you want to see every thing I did for this design, you can always watch the full live streams in the description of the video, I'll be working on getting that second series out as soon as I can. Hope this clears it all up :)
