Great stuff Wish there was more of this What I struggle is how do you overlap two backgrounds so that instead of getting the images to look horrible when contrasted each other, they have a small smidge that overlaps the two images to make it seem like they were joined together - do you have any guides on how to do that?

Where do you get transparend pngs of the game title you are playing?
@VerticDesigns9 ай бұрын
For the one in the video I took a screenshot on the Battlefield 2042 trailer and used the pen tool to remove the background but there's lots of websites out there with png materials if you need to quickly use them for a project

My vivid light for the gradient never looks like yours. It just looks like it makes everything way brighter. The only thing that even resembles yours is using overlay. What am I doing wrong? I am following your tutorial to a "T".

Would you create a tutorial for a Minecraft thumbnail? They are very different from typical gaming thumbnails. So it would be interesting to see how you can apply these techniques and maybe improve the typical Minecraft thumbnail.
@VerticDesigns10 ай бұрын
funny thing is.. I actually used to make Minecraft thumbnails haha that was my very first content on my gaming channel and yeh I know exactly what you mean. Big game with a lot of videos on YT so thumbnail has to be really good. For me I used to use Cinema 4D for custom poses and stuff to stand out but I could consider making a tutorial. I do have some ideas in mind plus today there's a lot of tools out there like Ai, 3D rigs / models, map rigs etc.

The official Battlefield 2042 trailer on KZbin. Their video is in 4K which is perfect for taking clear screenshots like this

I don't know why you have so less views but after searching for days I finally found this tutorial to help me create a professional thumbnail. Everyone else on KZbin just tells me to keep adding drop shadow and a stroke but this look is what convinces me more. That motion blur trick is just super dope. The overall result is SUPER DOPE! Thanks for these mate and pls don't stop making these tutorials.
@VerticDesigns2 жыл бұрын
Reading your comment just made my day :) I'm honestly glad you mentioned that because I always like to make my thumbnails unique to stand out so it's cool hearing that you liked the motion blur effect and this tutorial 👌

you dont have to tell us which colour to set and saying these useless letters to find the colour you particularly need, just explain what each setting and tweak does and the viewer will choose what colours and setting he prefers and needs himself. Just weird how you focused so much on which colours you choose when it all comes down to what each of us prefers more and there are barely any blueprints on what to use specifically
