@@DavidGuyton The joke is that it's not ordinary to have a jeweler's saw in your household. While yes, it is easy to be obtained and hobby handymen can have this at the ready, yadda yadda, others wouldn't have this in their home. I think this type of skill set and hands on is lost in American schools, and there is no choice between apprenticeship and formal education. It seems that the educational system is all about how much the student can swim in debt and then drawn
@DavidGuyton4 жыл бұрын
I learned 10x more after school than what I learned in it. And the internet was just a baby when I was in school. These days with KZbin, etc, the only limit to knowledge is someone not bothering to look for it. We really don't need to pay for educations anymore; we just need the desire to learn.
@Wolvinius4 жыл бұрын
@@DavidGuyton True and I respect your point of view. However, how long it takes to gather all that information and then use it to create something; not including the time to perfect the craft. I think apprenticeship or mentorship can make a significant difference specially when learning trade skills
@DavidGuyton4 жыл бұрын
@@Wolvinius oh I am not against learning in that fashion. I have respect for anyone chasing their dreams, no matter how they get there. All I am saying is that the idea of needing to pay a university to gain knowledge is the old way of thinking. There is good information everywhere online, or even in your neighbor's garage.

Nothing wrong with the heart design, as the original meaning of the symbol was one of bravery and courage. It's likely due to the stories of knights in shining armor, turning to love fairy tales that the heart in our day is seen as a symbol of love instead.
