Thank you for this! I am returning to work after 7 years with kids. There was so much good stuff here! I was unaware of Google stop watch and now have to investigate how to move my zoom partner's picture under the camera! I will disagree with you on one thing: " dress in neutral colors" is a no! Too many of us washout! Think about it!? You want that first 7 seconds to capture u at your best? Then wear a solid color that you know complements your skin tone, hair, and eyes, makes u feel like a million bucks, and does not clash with room color. For me with fair skin and green eyes, that's a light blue pinpoint button down cotton oxford with blue eyeglasses in a powder blue room. I recently discovered research showing that one or two real live plants and not fake plants in a zoom picture made viewers favorably trust a video partner more than without the plants. Thank you again for your work... the exhaustive lists in your description are helpful... ps would love a video specific to external recruiters.

@oldschoolcars3318, thanks for the positive feedback and for the tips about the plants!! In regards to the color of what you wear, light blue is great, but really bold colors like red for example have been shown to negatively impact first impressions. I am sure the data is all over the place on this item!
