It works great! Well worth the $. I wrapped the whole die with paper n it took me over n hr 2 get it back out. So dont clamp 2 tight

Thanks Roy I was thinking your stick welding looks great to me. I never was able to master stick welding. It turned out great. If I had thought about it I would have added some die blanks to the last package I sent you. I was wondering why all of a sudden I had several orders for these on Etsy tonight. Great tools. I got one at hammer class at quad state this year. Now let me suggest that a full weld is a good idea. Mine has three welds per panel per side. One has split thru the center of the weld. Not a big deal I'm simply having it solid welded. No big deal. Just telling yall for point of reference right. Thank you Roy. Good video! I had one of the original smithing magicians and made the mistake of lending it out! :-( I have 2 types of guillotine tools one is a bolt together kit similar to uncle Bucks and one is a G2 second generation guillotine that I made as part of a club workshop project... Given a choice between the two I always seem to reach for the G2 I feel it's more versatile, but that's just my opinion...Maybe you could do a video on the G2 version as well.

There is no way I'd trust my flux core welder for one of these, but I don't think it likes running at 110 instead of 220. Being that I don't have anything else for a power supply, I'm not sure what else to do with it right now. That being said I bought one pre-assembled and it's a beast.

I've always heard that if you're doing that thick of metal and it's gonna be exposed to stress, to grind an angle and do multiple passes in welding to get a good strong weld. Is there a reason you didn't, or did you and I just missed it? God bless y'all, praying for your family daily!

Thank you for this great question :-) on a piece that is this small that only has to withstand lateral loading A solid single pass should be sufficient... If you do multiple passes on a piece this small you will warp your bottom plate horribly as the welds will pull from the edges of the bottom plate and you will end up with a 🌮. The trick is to lay down one good and hot bead for maximum penetration
