How to Make a Hello Kitty Bookmark | Hello Kitty DIY

Hello Friends! Today, we’re going to show you how to make a Hello Kitty watercolor bookmark! These adorable DIY bookmarks are made with a super cool marker trick that we’re excited to show you! Materials needed:
Paper cut into whatever shape you want

Scissors
Permanent markers of your favorite colors
Hole puncher
Rubbing alcohol
A dropper
A plastic bag
Ribbon or string
Beads

Now let’s make some Hello Kitty bookmarks!
Step-by-step instructions:
(01:43) Step 1: Put your paper bookmark underneath the plastic bag so it can serve as a guide.
(01:51) Step 2: Color with the lightest colors first and don’t be afraid to experiment with shapes and scribbles. Stick to three or four colors so they blend easily.
(02:13) Step 3: Once you’ve covered the whole bookmark, it’s time for some marker magic.
(02:18) Step 4: Put a few drops of rubbing alcohol in the plastic bag. A little goes a long way!
(02:24) Step 5: Fold the bag and push the alcohol around. The more you push, the more the colors will mix together.
(02:32) Step 6: Place the paper in between the plastic so it can soak up the color. Time for the big reveal! Wow, yes! It really looks like watercolor!
(02:47) Step 7: For our galaxy design, we’re drawing black clouds with our permanent marker. Use the marker to trace the edges between colors. No two galaxies look the same so feel free to make this design your own!
(03:08) Step 8: Add stars with a metallic marker. It looks so good!
(03:18) Step 9: We’re adding one of the amazing stickers from the Hello Kitty scrapbooking kit!
(03:28) Step 10: If you want to add a tassel, punch a hole at the top of your bookmark.
(03:32) Step 11: Thread ribbon or string through and tie the ends together.
(03:47) Step 12: Now, you can decorate the ends with beads.
(04:00) Step 13: Tie more knots to secure the beads.
Your bookmark is ready to go! There are so many ways you can customize your bookmark:
Add extra ribbon or lots of stickers!
Play with patterns. The results might surprise you! There’s an entire universe of possibilities.
