The “oh”, “uh”, and looking around the garage for who knows what, is so relatable. 😂

People complain that my uploads don't just get to the point but I don't make how-to videos. There are enough of those out there and not enough showing how someone with mediocre levels of mechanical ability stumbles through it.

@@baldriderlike your previous install video, I’m definitely here for the head scratching moments. Oh, and riding a few hundred miles for a loaf of bread.

Everything always turns out to be more difficult than you expect. Must be some kind of law of motorcycles. Looking forward to your 1000-mile ride!

It gets especially difficult when I am doing it.

that is one nice trail 125, thinking of getting one. just cant make it make sense. own a W800 cafe and a concours and thinking of the trail 125 and a RE classic 500 with a side car. then last a small sport bike or a old HD sportster. those are my hopes at this time. just not sure a trail 125 or a KLR or Himalayan. all depends on the off road purpose i need when i move to Tennessee...

I've owned a KLR. It was my first bike 13 years ago. It, like every other bike, has its limitations. I was going to say that an RE 500 doesn't have a great reputation for modern reliability but, as a Ural owner, I can't talk. There's nothing quite like a sidecar, though.

Nice mods! A lot of people have complained of hitting their tailbone on the front part of the rack that sticks up. I didn't have that issue when I rode the CT, but that was probably due to my short legs making me ride a bit more forward. Do you have ever have any issues with it? I see a lot of people here swap that back rack out for some more streamlined aftermarket ones. Do you have many options for that in the states?
@baldrider6 ай бұрын
I tend to drift back onto the rack handle as I ride. I was more concerned with breaking the folding crate I have back there. The backrest is nice because I don’t have to stress or think about how far back I am sitting. Most of our options over here come from Asia. Nobody really makes or is a distributor of anything stateside.

Shinko 244s in 3.00x17 and Kenda K262s in 2.75x17. The idea was to put the Kenda in the front and Shinko in the rear. Need to get this 1k trip over with before I put more aggressive offroad tread on. Its a waste for pavement
