Diamond is made by Bowtech, which is a very reputable company.. I have a Bowtech Guardian made in 2008 that I love and has obviously lasted a long time. The Diamond Edge SB-1 is great for a beginner archer from what I know and will definitely get the job done. I don't shoot Diamond bows, and have only shot one since I started shooting/bow hunting. However, I always go with the quote: "It's not about the bow; it's about the shooter." Any bow you buy today made by a reputable company will typically do the job and give you what you need to learn and succeed!
