Ok, but I have a question that I've not been able to find an answer for: Is there a reason that all the nuts are strung the same direction, I mean big end (let's call them 'shoulders') to point, like a string of hearts? Or can one string them point to point, and shoulder to shoulder?

Are they real kukui nuts or are they fake ones. The Chinese have been selling pake kukui lei for years which is not a good thing.
