How to Make a Kydex Sheath on a Budget!

Eyelet hole jig helps a lot. Just lay it down and turn it as you need. Perfect hole spacing but not totally necessary. I’ve been trying to save up to get all the tools and materials for holster and sheath making myself. Great tutorial

Using a wood burner or soldering iron is great for slicing nylon straps.

I have seen people that do first the molding and then eyelets - so there is enough material to form ... but maybe it does not matter

So i have enjoyed your videos, but all i have seen you build is sheaths for simple straight blades. I have trying to make a sheath for a Ned Foss Suvival Kukri. If you could look at a picture and give some tips, it would be appreciated.

I saw someone put their eyelet setter in a bench drill press and they said it worked better tHan the hammer.

Maybe I am way overthinking this since I've never done this before, and I am thinking about trying it out, but if I wanted to do like a trim layer in a second color of Kydex, sorta like the piece that holds on the danger, but just as a decorative trim around the eyelets, 1: Would putting the trim underneath the eyelets and having 4 layers under the eyelets be a problem in any way instead of just 2 like the build demonstrated here 2: Would I need longer screws/eyelets? I can find longer eyelets on Amazon, but I can't seem to find longer screws I plan to attach Molle style belt clips to the sheath to attach it to my belt in a scout carry position, which I worry might further complicate the tolerances with the screw length. Another question: Would I be able to just sandwich the knife between the two pieces of foam,then just C Clamp it to my workbench with something stiff on top like a piece of wood or a cookie sheet or something?
