You should consider making your own membrane press if you have the space. I can't even begin to describe how much easier veneer work is since I made mine.

Hey mate. I saw your video, that's a very good membrane press. I would like to have one but at the moment I've ran out of space haha. Definitely in the future though.

@@SeanEvelegh yeah that is the downside, I've made a loose top for sitting on it when I'm not using it, so I an use it as a bit of a sanding bench or whatever, but it's still a bit of a lump. I did have a plan to suspend it from the ceiling on pulleys over my workbench at one point, so I could just lower it into the bench, then hoist it back up out the way when not in use. But that was starting to get a bit inspector gadget 😂

Beautiful work Sean! I've never seen a cabinet with that type of design. It looked like putting a puzzle together with lining up the slots. About tape for glue squeeze out, I've tried using it for my projects but always seem to get a little bit trapped under the panel. :)

Hi Erik, thank you very much! yeah glueing that small pieces was a bit finicky. I dry assembling the piece without glue first, then apply the tape in the locations you want. That way you can ensure the tape is in the right place and nothing will overlap it.

Quick question, what kind of glue do you use? Here in the desert, every "slow" setting glue I've tried starts to skin over quickly.. I can only do one decent sized panel at a time.

@@seanmanis5190 h Hi Sean, I used “Titebond cold press glue for veneers” hope that helps
