Nice restoration and it was ready for it, I used to be in Antique trade and a nice giveaway for its age showed itself whilst i was looking at the small drawers and any old antique dealers will have spotted what i am saying but not giving anything away and if you dont know you dont, but a very nice early piece.

As an ex restorer- conservator of antique furniture for over 35 years this piece is exactly the type of job I would have relished . Not necessarily for the work involved but rather its provenance and its place in British society at that time.

I think part of the reason is people want to see a big change... but when the channel actually properly restores old pieces, there isn't a huge change... so people are more likely to watch channels that don't restore the pieces properly but instead go for the big visual change.

I love the new little knobs you put on it. I agree they look more original too. I’ve never seen that style so small. Katy must be very proud of this piece. Hello from Texas, USA. Wonderful job. Such care taken on preserving the history of the piece. I'm watching you on T.V. while creating future heirloom quilts on my 1910 Singer Lotus treadle machine.
