How to make a leather ladder bracelet with and ​⁠​⁠‪@beadalon‬ tying station part 2
And with 8 mm faceted garnet gemstones from ​⁠​⁠‪@tejasbeads‬
Using Slon cord tex210
Use the Beadalon large eye needle for smaller drilled beads
Directions:
Cut 2 1/2 feet of leather
fold your leather in half and form a loop in the center. Tie a button loop-large enough to fit around your button.
unscrew the wingnut at the upper part of the tying station.
remove the plate and place the loop leather around the post. Replace the plate, and wing nut. Screw down wing nut. This will hold your leather in place.
Next, loosen the lower wingnut and insert the two ends of your leather, cording one side on each.
select the length desired of your bracelet, using the inches gauge on the right side.
tighten down the wingnut in that area. This will help you with how long your bracelet will be from start to finish.
leave enough leather at the bottom to tie your button with.
and now you are ready to start creating your ladder bracelet.
take 3 feet of cord & take the two ends & tie a knot underneath the top knot loop on your bracelet, & tie a knot again.
Bring one side of your cord over the top of the leather over the outside and back up through the inside center of the two leather strands.
Do this for each side. When you have both cord strands on the inside of your leather bracelet, add your stone.take one side of your cord through the center of the stone and pull through take the other side of the cord and pull through the center of the same stone and pull through.
Take each strand in each hand and pull up and tight so the stone will be up in the center in between both pieces of leather and underneath the top knot of the bracelet.
This will begin your ladder bracelet. repeat these steps, and tell you’ve reached desired length of bracelet.
Bring the cording up over & around the leather cording back up through the center of the leather edger stone. when you’ve reached a half an inch before your closure tie, both strands of cording around the leather with multiple knots.
Cut off excess cording. take your two loose leather ends & tie on your button. You can trim off access, leather, cording or keep it as tassels on your bracelet.

This was a great technique! I do it a completely different way with one cord but this looks much more efficient when you just have one bead in the center! 🙏

I'm still on the fence about buying the tying station. Can the bottom anchor actually stay in place? Every video I've seen it in it's sliding up and everyone is always pushing it back down. Do you have an affiliate link for Beadalon? You've been singing their praises for as long I've been watching you. Oh, thank you for your kind words I do not have affiliate link they don’t offer those anymore. I just really love their products. The bottom does side up and down. However, I find it easier to work with, and taping the leather down on my table or a clipboard because it still moves around anyways, unless you tape both the top and the bottom down. Where is the station for meat kept in place easier. If you didn’t want to move around I suppose you could Probably Tape the base down in place. But I found it easier to work with then a clipboard for myself.
