How To Make A Live Bait Well With A Cooler

I don't do much live bait fishing. I have been artificial from the beginning but I have been out on chartered trips and used live bait which is a lot of fun.
After a recent trip taking my daughter on her first fishing trip I discovered that I was live baiting the wrong way. I decided to use live bait because if kids don't hook up on a fish they tend to lose interest.
So, I went to the internet and learned about keeping shad alive and that its actually a process. Needless to say the 5 gallon bucket isn't ideal for me, my wants or needs.
I want to be able to cast net dozens at a time and then focus on the joys of fishing without losing shad or having to constantly cast net in between casts.
So I built a live well / live bait tank out of a cooler that I happened to get for free. I already had the pump laying around because I switched the aerator out on my bass boat.
All in all this build cost me 120 dollars. If I had to buy the cooler that would have been 80 bucks and the pump would be around 30.
So for around 250 you can build an insulated live bait tank that cost upwards of 795 to buy on the market.
