My favourite content you do is fabric scrap clothing; it always looks amazing and so professionally finished. Problem is, it is a usually a one of a kind but this one could be recreated even by me!!

I REALLY like that top! You always explain your thought processes so well; they open my mind to almost unlimited possibilities. All I have to sew with are cut up clothes that were my own or given to me by my daughters and their friends; free fabric for which I am very grateful! Thank you, very much, Alisa for your inspiration that makes my fabric scraps into a wonderful canvas with which to create❣️

That has to be the neatest scrappy garment I have ever seen. Immaculate sewing, with a great design. Inspiring to see. I like your explanation for why you would purchase scraps, very interesting. I have a 'no scrap' rule, to try to limit the amount of fabric I keep at home. Once a garment is made I dispose of the scraps, otherwise I end up with a mountain of fabric. Your kind and thoughtful approach are a pleasure to watch. Thank you.

I really love your scrap videos. Soooo many ideas and you have a real talent for design. If you ever want the challenge of a "mystery box" of scraps or 1 yard(ish) leftovers, I'll be happy to gift a pile to you! I tend to overbuy yardage because I'm worried about being short for a project. I've come to realize that I probably have more fabric and scraps than I'll ever get done. You've already inspired me in projects such as a reverse applique on a sweatshirt (watched your video on how to do it!) that my young grandson loves - and I used leftover yardage! You are an inspiration and wonderfully talented sewist!

Your top looks wonderful. Yes, putting a dark contrast against your skin does help us wear colours that tend to washout our skin colour. I love your scrappy garments and I keep all of my scraps so that I can hopefully make a scrappy garment in the near future, they look so much more interesting and unique.❤

I love your transformations. So inspiring. I tend to just add details to plain tops with embellishments or embroidery. I do sashiko style mending to attach scraps. It's good to learn how to take apart, draft a pattern and then put together a new garment. Thank you 😊

I actually would place the fabric scraps on top of the pattern and just pin them together on top the twin-needle top stitch. Love the weight change tip. Thank you. I use scraps for most of my sewing - other people’s scraps so I have no control what fabric is available. So that tip is useful for me

That is beautiful on you!! Wow! I was concerned about the pastels against your "winter" coloring. The blue band is enough to separate the pastels from your skin. Nice!

Your shirt came out great. I appreciate you sharing the struggle to pick the colors and fit the pattern pieces onto the fabric. I am thinking an orange, plum and navy blue shirt would be most excellent in my wardrobe. 😃 I have some questions about the top stitching. 1) Do you think it is necessary? 2) Would the shirt have come out just as well without it? 3) How do you decide whether to top stitch or not? That is a decision I struggle with constantly. I worry about over manipulating my fabric. If that makes sense.
@ThoughtfulCreativity

Those are GREAT questions - I am currently working on the Members DEEP DIVE for this garment and top stitching, seam allowances and the placement of both are important when it comes to sewing with multiple fabric pieces to make a full panel. I will go into more detail over it and explain my thinking when it comes to these decisions and also personal experience after constantly wearing fabric scrap projects :)

At what size do you consider a scrap too small or narrow to keep? I use a lot of upcycled fabric but I’m way less of a “saver” than you are! 😜
