Your video is amazing! It accomplishes in 6 minutes what others struggle to do in 30. Thank you for your clear and insightful explanation. It truly deserves more attention. Great job!

Great video, I've seen a lot of long videos and didn't understand anything, yours was very clear and specific. A little accelerated but a lot of value for those who are really trying to learn. I did it without any difficulty and everything went fine, only the JOIN UI didn't leave the screen when connected, but I must have gone wrong with something. I sincerely hope you continue the great work.

Excellent tutorial, despite the edits and the lightning speed! I think it was pretty challenging having to pause and stuff, but I liked the challenge. One thing to mention is that if you want to build and distribute the project, which I'm sure you do if you plan on playing it with friends or anything, is to see if it actually works as a build (which in my case turned out to be a dark screen when tested). So what I did was to "Save All" in the editor's "File" part of the main menu and make sure the "OpeningMap" is saved as well from there, so that afterwards when I tested the build through Unreal by using "Quick Launch", the menu actually showed up. I'm not 100% sure if those are the exact steps to make it work as a Build, because I've tried tons of things, but if it works, then great. Whoever sees this useful and working, let me know. Thanks.

Sorry about the fast speed and the zoom, when I come back after college, or when I find some way to get free time, I will rethink my editing strategy.

Great tutorial! Very helpful! One tip is that you make a ton of jump cuts / speed things and I think it could be helpful if you tried to slow it down a little! Thanks for the Help!

I don´t know if this is yout issue, but the first time i did this i skipped the part with adding listen in the options and the same thing happend, that part is at 4:01 in the video maybe thats the problem?
@SavageDevs5 күн бұрын
The 127.0.0.1 is the localhost, basically another way to say "this PC" so unless you host the server and client on the same PC that address will not work, also you have to add the listen option.

Try to see if you use "Save All" and "Save Current Level" (assuming your current level is the one called OpeningMap) from the editor window it changes anything. I was facing the same issue: Everything was dark as if it were empty and there was no UI showing up. I've done many things to try and see if it works, but one of the last things I tried was that, saving all (including the current level). If it works, which I hope does for you too, then you're definitely welcome! :)

@SavageDevs5 күн бұрын
Depending on how you are doing it, you could be running into a client/server mismatch or some type of jitter. Basically if your server is too slow it cant keep up with the client.

@@SavageDevs The problem is that I cannot fully install the replica system, so sometimes on some machines it pushes it back to synchronize with the server.

This is a very helpful video! the only thing i would say, is that things got confusing to me... the speed made me spend 30 minutes trying to figure out if i had the right text block. try slowing down a bit... not too much; just when youre showing important details like the text block for example, other than that this is great video. Keep up the hard work dawg.

That is the loopback, it is basically saying "this PC", and if it did not work you may of not gotten everything in the right place or if you had any spaces in the thing or if you ran the server on another PC/VM

@@XeoniGames I try to constantly improve my pacing to make it easy to follow. My more recent videos are a bit on the slower side, I just have ADHD so when im editing I forget that I am doing it to tech not race to make the video as short as possible and remove any non talking segments.
