You are a good teacher showing very slowly and explaining your steps as you go...and you remind us of the pitfalls like making sure the loops face front and untwisting the cord as you work with the belt...

Wow! I really like the look of this belt! The fact that it is quick to deploy and gives a substantial amount of paracord when needed makes this a definite keeper! My son, who isn't a 'bracelet' sort of guy said he would definitely wear this. I can hardly wait to make it! Thanks so much!

Very cool design. I like that you don't have to precut the paracord, so there's much less waste than some other belt and bracelet methods.

Great video, this is a variation of Tunisian crochet. Research it for more uses and intricate designs, also how to incorporate different colors of paracord. Using a crochet needle will expedite the procedure and reduce the production time greatly. Thanks again for the video.

Thank you so much for this video! I am already weaving my third waist belt from paracord. Of course, none of them turned out as beautiful as yours in the video, but as they say, "Practice makes perfect"! And at least the first one is already usable, I use it regularly, and I don't mind that it shows that it is not as perfect as the factory ones, because the good thing about it is that it is good visible that it is MY OWN CREATION... And anyway, it's so incredibly relaxing to fiddle around with making a paracord belt! Relieve stress! So thank you very much for this video! Otherwise, I'm thinking about how I could make an entire belt pouch (hip bag...) out of paracord or some other similar strong twine. In order to do this, I started to learn about crocheting... But if you have a video on how to make that, I would be happy to watch it as well.

Great idea, only issue I can see with this is that a belt is made to hold up your trousers so if you took this off and unravelled it then you would have the problem of holding your trousers up whilst you try to use the paracord for some emergency purpose, still a very cool weave I'm eager to try this at some point could work very well for a bracelet

Thank you for such an informative lesson in what to me anyway is a complicated paracord project.I am VERY new to the world of paracord designs and totally amazed at how versatile this amazing cordage is! I must again thank you for your teaching skills as I find even the simple designs very difficult at this stage. (Still doing key chains and lighter covers etc.) Luckily I am retired and have the time!!! my rewind and pause features are getting quite a workout but your calm tone of voice is a big help.I think that being left-handed is my biggest issue but since always having lived in this right-handed world of ours i hope to adapt eventually (LOL)!!! I find this new hobby of mine VERY VERY theraputic and really enjoy it. My newest delusions of granduer are your amazing belt and dare I even dream BULLWHIP!!!....Any way thanks for the great videos from us down here in the great state of Louisiana U.S.A. having a lot of fun with this......From your newest fan ....GREAT JOB!!!!

Have been using this video to make a 6 loop Paracord belt with a traditional belt buckle. this method takes a LONG time. I have about two feet done so far. The part that takes the most time is the unwinding of the cord when it gets twisted up. I’ve been developing a few techniques and tools to make the process faster. I’m using 100 feet of Paracord. I’m going to be laughing if it’s not enough to make a belt long enough to wear. Guess I’ll have to learn a splice if that happens! I’m probably not going to make a belt using this method after the current one, it just takes too long. This is only the second Paracord project I’m doing. The bracelet took maybe 30 minutes. The belt I figure is a good way to practice.

Bailey Walker Hey Bailey. This belt can be made directly from a hank, meaning there is no need to measure your cord (there will be no scraps), just take a large piece and start working. It is hard to give measurements, since these depend on the number of loops you make, as well as how tight you make your belt. Mark

@Paracordguild
@Paracordguild 9 жыл бұрын
+Martin Cooney Hey Martin! Well, a hank does indeed not specify length. What I meant by saying that is that you can take a long, continuous strand and work with it without the hassle of having to measure out the cord before use. How much cord you will use depends on the number of loops and the length of your belt, as well as your tightening. It may be 50 ft or even more. I would recommend just taking a 100 ft hank and working it. Use up the rest on another belt or any other cool project :). I hope that is not way too long of an answer, I hope it helps. Mark

Two problems I encounterd:| 1. The belt goes off on a weird angle making it difficult to wear 2. Doesn't deploy quickly (or much at all) when done somewhat tightly due to twisting
@Timodeus
@Timodeus 8 жыл бұрын
+Brendan Walker the weird angle is a challenge but I found it can be overcome by starting the loops of your belt on an angle (loops long and loose at one side and tight and short on the other. The tail end then can be weaved over and under the lose cords until it firms up. 2 use the paracord on a roll that can unravel on it's own this might help prevent twisting.
@concubane
@concubane 8 жыл бұрын
+Tim Burrows thank you for your response! I really like the technique and am glad you posted the video. the best way I was able to figure out the angle problem was to add some loops to either end to compensate for the angle, then attach the buckle... the end result being a straight belt with an angled pattern. (make any sense?) I was thinking that the technique may be best used for something other than belts though? not sure what ATM but will post here if I make something!

Good morning sir. Its great as usual. I follow you since long time ago and you go more and more forward. I usually play with my little baby and with paracord. One of the nice challenges,shes throwing to me is the possibility to dress 1 of her dolls with a paracord skirt waved with this Conquistador knot. The problem I see is that the skirt is cone shaped. If I start waving from the lower part, the knots, as you experienced in your video, open naturally and curve BUT away from the center so it's reverse what Im looking for. On the other hand, if I start waving from the upper part, I mean from the hips of the skirt, I have to increase the number of knots on each row till the end, not decrease like in your nice mask and honestly speaking I do not know how to do it because when I reach the end of the row I have not the loop to weave it. Can you please advice me how to do it_ I also tried with a trilobite knot, but it does not work. Thanks a lot in advance and kind regards. And keep waving indeed

Is anyone else having the issue where the belt goes off in one direction? since you are not alternating back and forth the belt seems to angle off one way or the other?
