A very nice build. Thumb up. Before I decide to copy some of the design to start an own attempt, what is the flow rate? RPM and power consumption are also information that would be of interest. Thanks for the video. Got enough information to get sparked to build one.

Very nice king. I never thought, it can be created with these PVC pipe.
@silverhead82436 жыл бұрын
It will be better if you dont file the pvc pipe to make teeth shapped internal profile. The pump will be more efficient if the internal profile was a round circle. Thank you it was a good job.

He said it was to reduce (or produce?) "friction". That internal fluting immediately looked to me in the closeup to greatly reduce the actual snug peristaltic closure of the tube necessary to minimize backflow, and the working model showed it to be absurdly inefficient given the rpm. The contraption is grossly undeperforming.

PLEASE**** What is the purpose of integrating an inner ring with concave and convex cavities? Is it to achieve a more continuous flow?

if i am using Arduino to give power supply on a specific coding and want a single direction rotation. then i might not need the bidirectional speed controller right ?? or the circuit will still be needed. ??

Good What is the RPM and watts of this geared DC motor?
@protogenius5 жыл бұрын
You were doing good right up until you sanded the grooves in the housing, that killed your production, it's best with these types of pumps to have a solid housing grooves let the line bleed backwards.

What are the dimensions of your bearings? ID and OD? My ABEC 9 bearings are a lot bigger than the ones you've used here.
@DIYKingSaM4 жыл бұрын
Dont remember the dimensions yet but ID might be 6mm while OD might be 12mm.
@KJ7JHN4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, my ABEC9 bearings are 22OD 8ID I'll use them but will have to use 2-1/2" Schl40 with shims. Awesome tutorial.

How much is the clearance between the roller and the inner part of the casing?
@Longerpump19972 жыл бұрын
depending on the tubing wall thickness, for example, the wall thinkness is 2mm, then the clearance should be 3.2mm between the rollers and comprssion block.

What purpose do the groves have?
@-danRАй бұрын
He said it was to reduce friction (or perhaps he said "produce" friction). It is very strange as the mechanism is visibly underperforming for the healthy rpms, probably by incomplete closure at the extrema of those flutings, with consequent partial backflow. It would probably not pump at all under any significant head-pressure.

Very good job thank you for sharing. I have a question can you please reply? Is this motor suitable to work continuously 7/24? If not what should be our motor choice? Thank you in advance.
@DIYKingSaM6 жыл бұрын
Well I have got this motor from an old scrap yard and luckly it's a German one .... Extremely good built quality so hopefully it can run a longer period but I doubt it for the period you are demanding .... For that a stepper motor is the way to go
