So if doing a say lighter and it’s 45 beads around how would I do that pattern as it would be 45 columns

I think I am understanding what you are doing. You would count 45 columns on the sheet (tape sheets together if needed if there are not enough columns) and then count how many rows tall the lighter is so that you have both row and column count.

Great video! Is there a way to tell how large your piece will be like any paper that shows it more to scale? It’s hard to know how big it will look in the end. Thanks!

Great question! I don't know of any paper that is to scale, but what I do is I look at other projects online that are already complete and that list the rows/columns that they use and the finished measurements. I can then gauge how wide/long my finished design will be. For instance, this bracelet beadaholique.com/products/cornflower-dusk-loom-bracelet fits a 26mm clasp, so I know that it is about 26mm wide using rows of 15 beads size 11/0. I hope this helps!
