I’m watching this over and over and over again you know what I’m gonna make now. Thank you

Great build. Put the latches and tongue/grooves in such a way that you can also just latch the two big parts together. That way you gain an alternative "short pipe" configuration at no extra cost and minimal effort.

You put 2x4’s in wrong. It will bow.The 2’ edge is more rigid.
@Chudchanning2 жыл бұрын
Since it's mostly for toddlers and kids it's probably OK, but I totally thought the same thing. Especially since he took the time to notch out the transition pieces rather than screwing em to 2x4s, shame to put the extra carpentry effort in and gloss over the support beams. They should also be every 8 inches. I suppose the main goal was to make it easily manageable though, the industry standard support would add alot of weight

Did he even measure the transition ? That’s one of the most important parts. Looks like he just eyed it. Kids... don’t build a ramp this way. Plenty of free diy ramp plans online

@artdude82783 жыл бұрын
I've made something similar to this. 4' x 18'. That's very small but if wider then better.

Where do I start, so many things wrong. 1. Laying the stuts on the wide side facing up means that they're going to bow. 2. No need for the centre section of frame at that width (and if you lay the struts vertically) 3. Coping is way too small 4. Screwing into the edge of plywood - ouch! 5. Don't glue the riding surface! How are you going to change it when it gets worn out? 6. What radius did you use on the transition? How long was your flat?? These things are important.

Crazy over built ramp. And don’t glue layers together, at some point you will want to replace top layer after it gets beat up. I wouldn’t even put inner arch supports on an 8’ wide mini ramp. Not needed.

@@StatesMusic haha who said I was looking at the comments for instructions? After watching the video and seeing some of the questionable design choices, I came to the comment section for entertainment ... And I got a little more than I bargained for.
