Haha, yeah, I've thrown on wheels that sound like helicopters and all kinds over the years. Nowadays they've got to be quiet for the filming but really, that buzz does get to you after 5--6 hours. Thanks for watching as always!

This is so beautifully specific. The detailed tips like using the glaze lid to prevent spillage and using your fingertips to desharpen the edges after shaping make me emotional with their elegance. Not a potter at all but I'm planning to make a mug for my partner's birthday at a local pottery class and this will help immensely with making it a gift that's at least likeable if not actually practical.

Update... I paused for a few mo ths, but I'm back at it. Taking a class now, and having so much fun. Got my wheel, a bunch of tools I don't know how to use lol, and have made some pretty cool wonky looking bowls and my first mug! This is getting more fun by the week! Frustrating moments are learning moments indeed as well 😢 but I'm hanging in there 😊

Hello from Oregon! with our current conditions (40ish centigrade from noon until early evening, 30% humidity) mugs that size would be bone dry in 1-2 hours. I was amazed you had a batch that size and were able to attach all the handles without a bunch of plastic bags, even with your incredible speed. What is your humidity/temperature in the studio where/when you shot this? also, your name keeps coming up on r/pottery reddit as the man with the youtube videos for "remote learners" to level up.
