This video is great. I thought I’d mention one thing though, PS3 Dual Shock controllers are a much better pairing for the PS2, since they also have pressure sensitive buttons like the PS2 Dual Shock. Some PS2 games need these buttons to feather their controls. The PS4 controllers work fantastic with the PS1 though. The Dual Shock 3’s can be a bit fiddly with BlueRetro since you have to program in the BlueTooth addresses manually, though it can be done. I ended up using Wingman adapters on my PS2 with DS3 controllers, and BlueRetro/PS4 controllers on my PS1.

At 7:38 you set in 5volts then at 8:05 it is set in 3.3v, many will damage their esp32 so be careful dealing with UART voltage settings.

Aside from button, every parts should be available already if you just buy a full fat esp32 board. As for power he said, no you dont need to beefup the power here since esp32 is BLE and ps2 controller consumer way more power specially with the rumble motors running.

I think it would be better to modify the PS2PIN on the PCB to correspond to the PS2 controller plug, and it can be soldered directly without using jumpers.

It can work but you’d need to modify the housing to provide bigger tolerances. The pins move a fair bit so hard mounting them will break the joint over time.

I'm wondering if it's possible to install a wireless adapter on the inside of an original SNES instead on the outside so that it has an permanent onboard wireless connection but also still have functional external controller ports.

Yes you can There is internalised versions of blue retro project. It not just for PS2, the internalised version has physical controller detection, so it can let you use both

Hello good evening, I would like to know if you know if it is possible to exchange the 2x USB 1.1 inputs on the PS2 Slim Model for other 2x more modern ones and also if it would be possible to increase its processing power?

Sadly you can’t increase the usb speed on the ps2 that I know of Some slims still have the internal connections for a HDD, you can add it back in using some mods. Even if you could increase the processor, the software (games) likely wouldn’t be written to take advantage of it, much like cpu and ram upgrades on the original Xbox

Better use a 3.3v UART than 5v.

The pcb design appears to have VCC go through the regulator regardless of if it’s from the socket or the soic bite or the UART solder pads. It’s something that might have to be brought up With Mi213 regarding RXTX voltages

@@Slot1Gamerfor that matter I would rather go for the big unit with multiple connections on different consoles as envisioned by darthcloud since I have all the systems that blue retro supports, I literally I’m just waiting for someone to fully convert a Dreamcast controller to blutooth with a sp32 and have a VMU cradle with the base, when that is done I will fully jump into the bluretro craze
