@@theDMsCraft Why do I suspect that your wife has hidden all the Kleenex in the house? -_^ Seriously, have you tried using newspaper instead, and if so, how did it work out? Also, while I'm thinking of weird monsters, I'd like to make a request if you have the time--how about a Horta from St:TOS "Devil in the Dark"? Not only would it look cool in SF RPGs, but the techniques used would also work on black puddings, ochre jellies, etc. I would think...

I came upon this about a week ago , knew we had a snowstorm coming up , perfect crafting environment... my son loves Starwars Legion , and has been reading the Dune series of books... we ended up modifying two of the four we made ... one was a Sarlac ... the other was a Sandworm ... great weekend with my kids doing this ... one note ... we used orzo for the teeth... and Dollar Zone ... Dollar General... Dollar Tree all have next to nothing in the way of crafting supplies and kit bashing fodder.

Ooh, this is a truly multi-purpose monster! In D&D, it's a Purple Worm. In Call of Cthulhu, it's a Cthonian! Werewolf: The Apocalypse? Thunderwyrm! Warhammer 40K? Giant worm monster a la Tremors. Dune? Sandworm, duh! (Praise the Maker, Shai-Hulud! -_^) Star Wars? Hmm, maybe a baby Sarlacc or a tiny spaceship-eating Space Slug? Star Trek? Monster of the week!
