wow... that looks FANTASTIC !!! All the little details we think about "fake-improvising", meaning we want to have 100% control and try to make it look haphazard, you just made it actually improvised, faster, in a much more fun way and looks just incredible! Congratulations, man!!!

This Mimic will be in the "Bard's Bountiful Bosses" (custom monster manual), what should we call it? I make stats & lore for custom minis I craft on the channel, so far I have published one "The Bard's Craft Bestiary". The mini monster manuals are part of Patreon rewards. Writing these is a fun way to at least give something back to the supporters of the channel.

I spent about 3 hours working on this today. I ended up using some leftover reaper mini material (cutaway) to create a keyhole above the mouth. It even looks like it could be the mimic's eye. The trick with mimics is never to stop at one! Everyone expects a single mimic, no one expects the mimic to contain more mimics. Or a room where every single item of furniture is a mimic. Well no one except my players 'cause I ruined them :) Also really good job on the build btw!

You can speed up crafting with hot glue by dumping is in cold water - it also helps with locking in shapes. If you use a big bowl or similar and add water a little at a time, you can even form whole miniatures out of hot glue just like an FDM 3D printer - but lots less precise ;-)

Luke, I need you to pick up two things, a hot glue gun with two temps, and the second is some cheap makeup brushes for dry brushing. If you do these two things your quality of crafting life, will be better. You might not make better stuff, but you will burn yourself less, and spend less time waiting for it to cool-down. Also the makeup brushes are just fantastic for dry brushing, and they are super cheap. Great video as always.
