Just adding the bigger wheels also slightly increases your gear inches even more. Slower to accelerate, but higher top speed and holds speed better and won't get stuck in soft surfaces as easily. I learned a lot from riding a 29er mountain bike. Like how I never could get the gearing as short as on anything smaller

Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower kzbin.infoUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

I think it’s a safe assumption that you’ve got grampys genes! The pulley ratio is too tough to start out in fifth, that’s why it stalled. I’d just start in third and work my way up but also throw a tension pulley on the belt to help keep it tighter. Man did I get a great idea from this. I have an l100 also and an stx38 I’ve been wanting to use strictly as a wagon puller for yardwork anyway so it looks like I’ll be listing the 38” deck on the marketplace and building me a workhorse like yours! 😉 Thanks for taking us along. A helmet would be a great idea. Remember it’s not how fast you go, it’s that sudden stop ending your ride that’ll hurt! (I just buried a brother who got hit on his bike SIX HOUSES AWAY FROM HOME!) So stay safe young man and stay dirty! Great job...

When I was a kid (70s/80s) my parents had a Snapper riding mower with a 5hp rear engine. THAT thing was FAST! If you popped the clutch in top gear, you could ride a wheelie across the yard. I'm giving my parents a lightly used Craftsman riding mower, and I think I'm going to build a "racer" out if their old Troy-Bilt. Most people lower their mowers so they handle better!

He taught me so much about life even at a young age before he passed on the value of hard work. And as for mechanical my father and my uncle got me on the start of mechanics and machining. So now whenever I'm working on something whether it be my truck, my Harley, my house or anything in general if I'm capable of making the part myself I do it. It's also like a bike transmission where if you had a big rear cog and small front gear then you would have a very short ratio with low speed and easy climbing for hills, but if you switched the gear sizes then you would have a monster on the flats but the hills would kill it.

Give it some gas and the scream I died lmao. I built a early 2000s craftsman into a backyard racing lawn mower for our yard mower racing series 5 of us in the racing club have tracks we built at our houses and we race at each other's track like a touring type racing series and every track is completely different like mine is a huge inside 1/8 of a mile or 1/4 mile out side high banked track in the same shape as pocono raceway and the other track for exame is a small high banked d shape oval, and another one is a road course in dirt and another is a high banked huge inside 1/4 mile oval built in one of his fields on his farm that he uses for private dirt modified and mini sprint and 4 cylinder racing it's a legit racetrack walls caution lights for drivers to see when caution is out flag stand and all it's a full blown dirt oval track in the middle of the field with beautiful red clay that he puts cotton under every time before winter so it's ready to race on in the winter time when the other dirt tracks and asphalt oval tracks are done for the season so we can race our dirt cars or test new cars that we just built for the following season it's pretty cool, the city won't let him turn it into a real racetrack where he races cars like a full season with fans and Alla cuse the city has a ordinance for no new racetracks can be opened or built anymore new only existing ones are allowed to stay once they are gone no more racing down here.

Take the pivot out of the front end and it will handle alot better.. you will get a speed wobble if you dont.. if you take the pivot out of the front end you need to weld the spider gears in the transaxle...its easy .. you can also make it quick steer like a go cart by just drilling one hole in the front steering arm and moving the steering rod closer to the pivot. Nice build. Have fun. Pull the govenor and put some dual pipes on it.. it will sound awesome.
@shanemandoh4202 жыл бұрын
So you mea to tell me I just put. New governor in the YTS3000 and it doesn’t even need it. Also that steering build?..Amy video of that??
@Loseejim2 жыл бұрын
The govenor limits the engines rpm.. the more Rpm's the more top speed.. I have never seen a video on converting the steering. But I can try to explain. Usually there is a steering rod that runs from the steering wheel pivot to the front spindle. We will call it rod A... and another rod that connects the two front spindles..we will call it rod B.. the end of rod A at the front where it hooks the the spindle needs to be moved closer to the spindles pivot.. just drill a hole closer to the pivot..and move the steering knuckle to the new hole.. this will change the steering geometry and make it steer much faster... drill multiple holes if you want this will allow you to play with it until you get where you want it..

the reason these decks go through belts is because people do not adjust them properly, they have brake pads that are released from the pulleys when you engage the blades and these are there so that when you shut the deck off the blades stop spinning quicker. These need to be adjusted and tightened so that they actually release when you engage the deck otherwise they stay trying to stop the pulleys and its so much resistance it just burns up the deck belts all the time, i had one with the same issue and once i adjusted them it works fine now.
