Stacey I found you recently found your channel and love your style of teaching. I have a question - I’ve noticed when chain-piecing and cutting the blocks apart,that you don’t cut the thread close to the fabric. Does that cause extra threads on the top of the finished piece? I was always taught to snip it close to the fabric.

Hi! I’ve never had a problem. If you cut too close to the fabric the stitches may come undone when sewing together.

Because beginner sewers find it very hard to sew long strips together. Something that I have just realised. So I no longer teach this method 🤗
