How to make a rain stick

Easily make a 20-second long playing rain stick from bamboo.
This rain stick cost about $13 in materials to make. It is made from a 40" piece of bamboo, about 2" in diameter and plays a long, eleven seconds turned straight upside down or about twenty seconds turned at an angle and rolled while playing. The trick in a long playing rain stick, whatever size you choose, is in the HOLE DRILLING PATTERNS. A spiral pattern is NOT best because it allows only half the number of holes you can make and it creates an impenetrably dense core.
