An excellent, crystal clear description of an important physical principle that is central also to so many vital aspects of real life. Will be neat to make for ourselves. Much better design than the ones I have made myself.

Did you know that an electric motor works indefinitely long if the brushes are changed frequently and all bearing are kept free? The oldest known electric motor AFAIK is in Budapest where it still operates one of the lifts on a metro station. The motor is in plexiglass cube and you can watch it working.

Haha I needed this 3 years ago when I had to make a motor for year 12 physics. Are you using neodymium magnets?

Just how inefficient is it? I'm going to have to build one of these now and have an endurance contest against a Sterling engine and a 1kg block of ice..

At 0:46... You can hear something in the background, sound like a propeller. Thought it was my stomach...
