There's many advantages in having that thing rip to 10k rpms besides noise. It gives him so much more rev range to work with like not having to grab a higher gear in some situations. And damn yes it sings a fine tune up there mate. Incredible work all round

Oh god, thank so much Jake! Although the CA18 wont be making 1000hp but reliability is king for me, so i wont have problem trashing it and learning to drift much faster and with lots of fun. Again, thank you so much! Hey Aaron, i just stumbled upon this video and even thou as a RB fan who did my own research about the RB family of engine. You def open my eyes on the possibility of making a 1000BHP 10k rpm RB28DET. You can spent a butt ton of money on expensive parts but if you get your tune wrong or a single part like the oil system fail or rods snapping. You would just flushed all your money down the drain. I been eyeing on a few combinations of RB configs for different applications. RB28 based with 600-700 bhp for World Time attack based R34 800-1000 bhp top speed wide open throttle RB28 or RB30 hybrid engine And a drag purpose RB34 based on the RB30 block and 3.4L stroker kit. I am thinking of using the Omori Factory built RB26DETT R2 spec and built from there. The part list includes the N1 block and many of the N1 supporting parts like the N1 oil pump, water pump etc. And the fuel and ignition system have been upgraded to the R35 fuel and coil on plug spark system pack. www.nismo.co.jp/omori_factory/original_menu/crs/index.html I am drooling at the Clubman spec R34 here but it requires a R34 as the base car but now the prices of a unmolested R34 is over 100k It almost touching a used R35 price tag. Bummer...

Ever consider the Adaptronic ecu? Supposedly it can read the stock CAS without missing counts. Usually dropped factory valves is because they are sleeve welded instead of one piece and long duration cams that require high revs, plus strong valve springs can rip them apart. Good video tho and I appreciate you taking the time to explain questions I had about oiling, I was sorta on the fence between putting spool billet gears in my n1 pump or buying a Nitto for a 700ish 2.8 in an o5u block.
@DriftSquid6 жыл бұрын
Yeah pretty much any other aftermarket ECU is capable of running the stock CAS. Haltechs new elite ecu has some issues how ever. Not sure if they are fixed but I am not waiting to find out. Yeah get the steel gears for your N1 pump and you will be sweet mate.

Thanks for sharing this information. Just a quick question however - I once read that RB25 NEOs contain smaller oil orifices going from the block to the head (as Nissan was aware of the oiling issue and the NEOS were the newest of the RB series), can you confirm this? I'm planning on installing a head drain on my RB25 NEO but I'm wondering if its absolutely necessary to blank one orifice and put a restrictor in the other, in conjunction with the head drain. Would like deal with oiling issue while engine is out of the car. Really beautiful RB builds btw my friend! Cheers.

Can't the haltech do everything that the motec does? I'm also pretty sure that they can decode the stock reluctor wheel and the sensor. it's the clarity that becomes an issue at high RPMs and I would bet that the motek would have the same problem and that reluctor ring has been changed out on the other car that has motec. so your comparison is pretty skewed or one-sided.
@DriftSquid6 жыл бұрын
Yeah its chalk and cheese between the two ECU's. But when you ring Haltech and ask why cant this new ECU run with a standard CAS. They respond with "our ECU is too sophisticated, you need a trigger kit"...... Which I then did straight away and im still having miss count issues. So time to change the ECU to Link and see the results. Not changing a single thing besides the ECu

rb30 with 26 head = awesomeness lol or do like the hardcore drag rb guys do here and start with an rd28 block n crank (diesel version of the rbs) capable of around 2000-2500hp hahaha might be a bit much for a drifter lol but it'd be a good solid base to start with as the blocks are damn near indestructible compared to the rb's which can have a habit of blowing holes in themselves especially the rb30s but that's normally caused by bad harmonics , seen quite a few 30s with giant holes in their sides where a rod has gone bye bye lol advantage of the 26 over the 30 is it's a stronger block the 30 was more a economy type engine (although people have pushed em to over 1300hp lol) where as the 26 was built for all out performance/ hardcore racing. personally go for an rd28 block as a base , they're even stronger and are more readily available plus way way way cheaper than a 26 ,heard nissan still make em new too.
