I need to make this for a 5 1/2 inch pair of scissors. Which measurement would I lengthen?
@sunrisequiltstudio4 жыл бұрын
You will need to change a couple of the measurements. Try this out on paper before cutting your fabric and see if it will fit your scissors. Keep the 3 1/4" measurement at the top. Instead of measuring down 5 3/4", measure down to 6", then down to 8 3/8" - marking each of these on your paper. From the 6" mark measure across at a right angle to the 6 1/2" mark. Then draw a line from the 3 1/4" measurement to the 6 1/2" mark, and from the 8 3/8" mark to the 6 1/2" mark. If the handles of your scissors are wider, you will have to adjust that measurement, too. If that is the case, it will be easier to lay your scissors on a sheet of paper and draw a kite shape around them. Then you can figure out what you need for the part that folds over to make the front of the case.
