For those who don't know this man, let me just say that, in my opinion, there's nobody that comes even close to having a KZbin channel that helps people how to learn fine furniture making, like this man does. This man is, just plain and simple, the best at teaching this craft on KZbin. All the luck and success in the world to you, Matt. You totally deserve it!

Finally started yesterday, so far so good, finally got all laid out, have now cut the mortises and started the haunches areas. Tomorrow episode 3 tenons. Thank you for these series. Enjoyed both the doevetail box work along with Rob, and the Cabinet. If Table comes out as good as the cabinet I'll be well pleased.

This looks fantastic; for being free, mindblowing. I hope the algorithm will be kind to this so that you'd get some real numbers by association with your main channel.

Super excited for another series Matt! I still think the FOWS is the pinnacle of all your content because it really brings all of your declared aims over the years together; the refinement of teaching methods, writing, on camera communication, filming, editing, formation of supporting media, and value to the audience. I’m one of the weird ones who listens to your projects all the way through on the playlists many times over. I’m super excited for this project and hopefully many more to come. I also think it’s awesome that you’ve discovered multiple ways to monetize it, because the industry’s current method of monetizing long form projects in the form of purchase to access is so overpriced for content creators to maximize participation, actually requires they make even more content to remain relevant in the long term, and doesn’t meet their stated end goals really, IMO. Again, thank you and I look forward to this series and see myself enjoying it as much as I have the past ones; especially the traveling tool box one. The mitered dovetail corners really made that project for me. Cheers!

Lovely table! The Shakers didn't like veneers. but the overall design is great. I've made a couple of similar designed tables, although without the dovetails. Looking forward to the series as I'm looking to upgrade some of my skills!

Great project, thanks! What do we need to keep in mind if we want to scale it up (say to 1m wide and high enough to use it as a desk or vanity table)?

Hmmm, hard to be specific with these things. I’d probably bump up the 15mm components to 18mm and slightly thicken the legs, mainly to reduce the risk of distortion over a longer length. Perhaps also consider a stretcher between the legs to tie them together. Other than that, it’s a pretty universal spec!

Let's go 🎉🎉🎉 FYI Shakers were ideologically against veneers, as they considered it lying. I don't personally care, but I'm betting pedants are going to be up your ass about it
