When I was a teen, if a schoolmate had an erection, we used to day he's on the horn. It's fallen out of use and I haven't it since the 1960s😊😊.

I've dabbled with stick making, using many different kinds of material for the tops - I've even sold a few sticks - but today I learned that I've a long way to go to reach John Daly's standard. Thanks for posting this video.

Well I think nice wooden handles are a great way to practice and deer antlers are fairly plentiful and can make a useful stick too so keep making them becusse we are running out of these guys 😆

Does Mr Daly have a website for his crooks?
@ChurchmountSheepdogs7 ай бұрын
No these fellas don't even tend to be on social media..well i suppose it was a good thing that there was no tiktok when these fellas were starting out making sticks in the boring winters evenings or there'd have been no stickmaking lol

Another great stick maker is Tom Kavanagh, Offaly.
@ChurchmountSheepdogs7 ай бұрын
I called Tom first but he was all out of sticks and John just had 3 that suited what I wanted so I took those. I got a lovely stick from Tom and another friend of his at the Irish National sheepdog trials last year.

@@ChurchmountSheepdogs I am interested in how things are made; the interaction of raw materials, ingenuity and skill. A cooking show working through the procedure in making a delicious napoleon, or a scrappy Pakistani machine shop turning out usable items, even works of art, this is what draws viewers. I made a comment to a man restoring a wooden boat in the midlands. It was all talk, a selfie of him walking around the boat. Whilst that hit a nerve, he admitted sheepishly it was a misguided stab at his 15 minutes of fame. KZbin viewers have attention spans a lot less than that.
