Great method for adding the loop end. I’ve never seen that done. Thanks for showing this! 👍👌🙂

Love this trick for doubling over the Maxima and getting the loop actually onto the end of the sinking material instead of nail knotting a single strand and having a section with a perfection loop at the end. This system looks much more streamlined and efficient and also reduces the gap between floating line and sink tip, hopefully minimizing any 'hinging' effect. Thanks!

I guess I'm quite randomly asking but does anyone know a good site to stream newly released tv shows online?

What weight of rod are you using? And how deep are your shooting for?
@GuideRecommended Жыл бұрын
I like using a faster action 6wt rod. The stiffness/backbone allows me to strip in and lift the line out of the water. The rod should be matched to the fish and water conditions. I'm usually fishing for medium size trout in moderate currents.

Could this technique be used with a 5/6 weight rod set up?

How does this setup cast compared to a true midge tip?

Wondering about those braided loops you squeeze onto the ends of fly lines (when your factory loop breaks). Could you use them for sink tip lines?
@wgblues98872 жыл бұрын
Yes that's the best way actually I have been using that method for the last 20 years or more and for shooting head running line I use the braided mono it works a treat no dreadful old knots tangling things up.

Have you had any problems with "hinging" during the cast with this setup? Thanks!
@GuideRecommended4 жыл бұрын
Hi, This setup is going to hinge. But most "weighted" setups will hinge, it's the nature of putting weight toward the end of the line. Remember the objective is to get the streamer down deep. Three things are key, stripping in most of the line before casting, opening the casting loop and letting the line fully unroll in the backcast. Thanks - great question!
