Hairspray works well to lubricate to slide on the rubber. When it dries it is a good adhesive

That looks so Borge. I hope you realise the importance of the strength of a slingshot at the stock end. I wouldn’t trust my teeth or any of my face for that matter, with a slingshot made in this way. Go fork hunting for some of our amazing Australian hardwoods and get yourself something that you can trust. Good luck and happy plinking😊👍

Indeed! the factory weld did fail after some time - fortunately not while I was using it! It broke during transit, in a bag that fell out of my Postie Bike. I'll be repairing it with a solid weld in the near future. But a very good point!!
