That has to be one of the best Paracord projects I've seen, and those two colours go together brilliantly. Thank you!

Hi, I was just wondering if using the Manny method to join the paracord would give you a more secure connection on the two colours of paracord. Especially if you thought the strap might have to take a bit of strain sometimes? EDIT : I tried this, and while it might make a stronger join it is much harder to hide in the snake knots. So if I wanted to make a strap that was stronger I would use a different set up. Still the strap looks great, and I didn't use beads, but I would recommend doing so as the finishing looks a lot better on the one in the video than on mine without the beads.

Hey, I see a lot of nice projects here. May I give a suggestion? A motorcycle glove holder. They used to be available in leather but did not always match the biker or motorcycle style. One made with paracord will be perfect for some scramblers! Thanks for your channel!

this look really noble. Can you plesae tell me the size of the snap shackle you used? what size are the holes in the skulls? if i'm correct you said "1 foot of paracord for 1 foot of strap"? so 1 foot of every color? Thank you
@sinagcastelo5 жыл бұрын
is it secure enough to join the cords by just burning both ends? I'm afraid it will just split once the camera is attached.
@tjwphoto3 жыл бұрын
No, not really. It is a very weak point and can be pulled apart. if it was put bellow the 2 knots and hidden by the bead then it should be ok.

would that scratch the side of the Panasonic camera?

I'd wrap some cord or cord sleeve round the hardware closest to the body, cause otherwise over long use you could scratch the camera body with all that hardware. Otherwise quite cool.

I had the same. Look at 4:19 there's the problem. He mirrored the first knot after the skull. If you do exactly the same there then you can follow along. 😊

How do I figure out how much paracord to cut for a shoulder (bag) strap?
@TheWeaversofEternity5 жыл бұрын
About 1 foot of paracord per inch should be more than enough.

Hey - did this today and it went great - may I ask u if your paracords colors are navy blue and wine red ? That color combination looks great👍🏻

How tight/how much tension do you use for these knots?
@TheWeaversofEternity4 жыл бұрын
I'd say firm tension, but you don't have to pull so hard that your knuckles are turning white.

Beautiful design! However, as a professional photographer I would not feel secure with this on even my smallest set up. Still a great design.
@TheWeaversofEternity3 жыл бұрын
That's fair enough to say. I think If I were to redo this one, the paracord would be directly knotted to the split ring and that would be connected to the camera.

Whats the ideal hole diameter for the bead
@TheWeaversofEternity3 жыл бұрын
I would say about 8mm. You can get away with a slightly smaller hole diameter, but it'll be tough to get the two strands through.

Is this the same weave used on a monarch boa camera strap?
@TheWeaversofEternity6 жыл бұрын
It's similar. The Monarch Boa is a snake knot tied over a two or 4 strand core I believe.
