Nice might try this for my binoculars the original strap is horrible. Excellent instruction. When using darker colored cord perhaps you could put a more contrasting color as a background it would be easier to see.

I feel dumb, is this a single piece of paracord that's 44ft long, or multiple strands? and that first split ring, if it is one strand. Is it in the middle of what would be the single strand, and then you're using two working ends?
@aaronstern97864 жыл бұрын
I thought the video was very well done, thanks. I haven't seen the Himalayan snake knot. My camera came with small triangular split rings. I wonder if it might be possible to end the camera strap with paracord loops and put them on those. That would avoid metal on metal and any chance of the split rings making wear marks on the camera. Some camera straps come if small quick release tabs on thin cord, they might be an option as well. Although they're not as classy as the leather work you did.

Hi good night, I've come across your channel, and I'm trully pleased with what I've seen.. my question to you doyou make to sell or is there a store tht I can order a strap for my camera from, do you actually do any leather straps or just the paracord material ?,
@Aconito023 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim!!! This Is a beautiful and very elegant project! As always explained to the detail, thank you! I was wondering if it would be possible to insert D rings or even classic round rings in this wave, to make it lenght adjustable. I've been trying but with poor results... 🙏🏻🌼
@TheWeaversofEternity3 жыл бұрын
Hey Laura, thanks and I'm glad you found the video useful! Where did you want to insert the D-Rings? If I were to to make this strap adjustable, I would probably make the strap in two pieces. Each side that connects to the camera is a piece. You would tie the snake knot strap as I did in the video, but do it for each side. Then to join the sides, you can cut one working strand off each side and then tie two sliding knots to join the two remaining strands or you can tie small section of cobra knots over the two strands going in opposite directions to make a sliding connector. I hope that makes sense and you can picture what I mean. Hope that helps Laura!

So this is such a solid strap and it's so inexpensive aside from the leather tools.
@modarresrealy2 жыл бұрын
How do you make this into a wrist strap? I would assume you'd combine the two ends of the paracord snake knot and attach the leather? I would still like to see it!
@itsneight12604 жыл бұрын
GREAT looking project! I intend to try to replicate this but I have the Peak Designs quick disconnect system on my camera right now so I'm going to try to integrate that in the end of the paracord coming out of the leather instead of the keyrings. Wish me luck!

Hey there. I just finished the Paracord Part of the strap and I know I am a little bit late to the party, but did you manage to get the leather part done? I am thinking about a „T“- shape for the leather and alter the stitching a little bit. Would be awesome to hear back from you!

I'll prolly do this without applying contact cement. Any drawbacks?
@TheWeaversofEternity4 жыл бұрын
The leather cover will slip back and forth if you don't glue or stitch it to the paracord. If you stitch the leather around the strap tight enough though, it probably won't move around much.
