I'm trying to attach a sunny seat for my cat on one of my windows but the suction cup are super old and messed up. I put them in hot water and tried again and they got a better grip this but again fell off after a few hours. I guess your trick will work. I'll try it this evening and get back to you. If it works, you're a genius ! Update: So I tried this last night and it didn't work. Actually, now I see that it is kind of a mistake to use double sided sticky tape under a suction cup. The whole point of using a suction cup is that it is stronger than sticky tape. However, it can be a good idea if you don't wanna put a lot of weight on it.

The only part I need for this to work is where to find the lid. It would be useful if told us where to get a similar or same material, like Home Depot, or some other store. Personally, for smaller suction cups I would use a thicker documents pocket from Staples. That would make it easier to cut (just scissors, no utility knife needed) and easier to stick. Of course, the suction cup would hold much less weight, but in my case this is sufficient because I just needed it to resist a bathtub enclosing plastic panel - I mounted 6 suction cups lined up behind the panel to make sure it does not cave in if I were to accidentally kick it.

Jacob Hoppe I clean my fish tank weekly on Sunday when I cleaned it this past week the leaf hammock stuck to its suction cup I removed it and cleaned the leaves off and they injected the wave back into the cupholder I waited it because the water was supposed to stick to the friction it wouldn't stick on the swing for some reason don't know why this happens
