In this video, Nathan runs you through the best way of making a template, for those of you who either don't have original glass, or have cut/chopped windscreen frames that require custom glass to be produced.
This process is critical for those of you who do require glass (both standard or custom) to be made. Accuracy is important throughout this process. In this video we happen to be using a windscreen frame from a 1935-1936 Ford, however the process remains the same (or very similar) to those of you with other vehicles that run a windscreen frame.

Hello Can you make custom curved glass in the desired shape and size? This is a custom car and no off-the-shelf glass from other cars will work there. If you do not make such glass, perhaps you could recommend someone who can do this? Thank you.

Have you advise on 1934 ford pickup? I have glass cut to correct size, rubber gasket and I know a butyl is used. My mind can’t visualize the final part of installation. Any help?

Sorry I didn't see your message a few months back. My apologies for that. The original glass was only held in with the U shaped rubber in the rear. It didn't have any setting tape on it (It was prone to leaks). By today's standards I'd use the U shaped rubber and just put a very small bead of windshield mastic (say 1/16") between the rubber and the body. It will help prevent water leaks. The mastic stays pliable unlike silicone and urethane. It also allows for the ability to remove the window with ease should you ever need to.

We keep it in stock. It's only AUD$10 a meter. It's not necessarily a readily available product elsewhere, but there may be some other places that keep it. You'll just need to make sure you get the correct thickness as there is 4x different thickness's available. It's not just a one size fit's all situation.
