First, thank you Tapendra for this excellent video! I made this and it works - but it took me a while to get it all right. Some speedbumps I encountered: 1. Be sure to sand or scrape the insulation completely off both ends of the secondary coil. Check continuity between the two ends (I used an inexpensive multimeter) to insure that the insulation is off. I thought I had a good connection until I tested it and found that I hadn't gotten all the insulation off. 2. Use a 22K ohm resistor, not the 2.2K indicated. Using a 2.2K will fry the transistor pretty quickly. 3. Be sure to wind the primary in the opposite direction of the secondary. Four turns seemed to work best for me, it can be tightly wound around the base of the secondary coil, and neatly taped to it.

@@kamleshkumaryadav9360 I blew more than one transistor due to overheating so make sure you have spares (mine came in a bag of 200). I'm not quite sure why this happened - I'm an amateur at this. Using a fresh 9-volt battery seemed to overheat the transistor, which leads me to think that maybe the resistor needs to be an even higher value. However, at this point it is stable and working consistently with a 22.2K ohm resistor so I'm not sure. Just don't give up, it WILL work.

Then I replace the primary coil connection that is one which was connected to transformer I replaced it to connection on the switch and vice versa And boom the flurocent tube light started to glow just when I was going to give up on it So please don't give up, search for solution and you guys will also be succeed 😉😎😎

Which substance is used for secondary winding
@dougfoster4452 жыл бұрын
you mean the primary....The primary can have any number of turns so long as it's less than the secondary. Yes it is necessary to make sure secondary is insulated. That's why we use "Magnetic wire" it's just copper wire with varnish as insulation.
@galacticlava1475 Жыл бұрын
@@dougfoster445 what even is primary and secondary wire
@dougfoster445 Жыл бұрын
@@galacticlava1475 It's not primary or secondary "wire" per se. When we talk about it and say primary or secondary we are talking about the coils themselves. Specifically the coils of a transformer in a case of a tesla coil. With AC electricity, we can change the voltage with a transformer. The primary is the coil that gets the main power, the secondary coil is the coil that the primary coil induces a voltage into via induction. There's a simple formula for finding out voltage ratios. It's 1:1 for a transformer. So if you have a primary coil that has 10 turns on it and the secondary has 100 turns on it, that is a 1:10 ratio. So if you plug the primary coil to a voltage of 10 volts, the secondary will have 100 volts on it. Transformers are extremely important to our energy grid and is the way we are able to transmit so much power through our electrical distribution network so efficiently. We generate the voltage at roughly 2000-4000 volts, step it up to sometimes 100,000's of volts for transmission and then step it back down to 240 volts at your home. We step it up because we are really talking about POWER when we talk about the "good stuff" of electricity. And power is a product of voltage and amperage. If a house needs 2400 watts of power, we can send it anyway we'd like, say 24 volts at 100 amps or 2,400 volts at 1 amp. Both will give us 2400 watts. The difference is amps heat up wire losing power and can damage the wire. So we REALLY want to transmit voltage as high voltage as possible to minimize the amperage (hence why the distribution lines that power whole cities can have wires so thin)...But the trade off is high voltage is dangerous so we try to find a happy medium.
@galacticlava1475 Жыл бұрын

Why did you used transistor? Could this be done without it?
@dougfoster4452 жыл бұрын
No, you need the transistor for this circuit to oscillate. The primary induces a voltage spike in the secondary coil. Because the gate of the transistor is connected to the bottom of the secondary coil, when the secondary coil spikes, the bottom of the coil goes below the threshold voltage of the transistor thereby turning it off and starting the process all over again.

When it comes to energy, there are many ways to create it. Some of these methods are more popular than others, but they all have their own benefits and drawbacks. In this article, we will be discussing one way to create free energy using a Tesla coil. This is a device that has been around for years, and with some simple modifications, you can use it to create free energy for your home. The first step is to gather the materials you will need. For this project, you will need a 9v battery, a connector clip, and a 2N2222 transistor. The transistor can be found at most electronics stores, and the battery and connector clip can be found at any hardware store. Once you have gathered all of the necessary materials, it's time to begin building the Tesla coil.

The Tesla coil is a device that uses high voltage to create an electrical discharge. This discharge can be used to create sparks, or it can be used to power an electrical load. The Tesla coil is named after its inventor, Nikola Tesla. There are several ways to create the high voltage needed for a Tesla coil. One way is to use a spark gap. A spark gap is a device that creates a spark when a high voltage is applied to it. A spark gap can be made from two pieces of metal separated by a gap of air. When the high voltage is applied, it creates an electric arc across the gap. This arc will produce sparks that can be used to power an electrical load or create sparks in the air. Another way to create the high voltage needed for a Tesla coil is by using a transistor.

Show less
@Headbutter-Lettuce904 жыл бұрын
You need to use another transistor like d718 to make arcs
@dougfoster4452 жыл бұрын
You need more turns to make sparks...say 1000 instead of 300. (more turns = higher voltage). As far as the formula, it's a ratio of primary to secondary turns. For example, if you have 10 turns on a primary and 1000 on the secondary you will increase the voltage x 10. The resistor is there simply to not burn your gate on the transistor. Be careful though because of the high voltage you can burn out your transistor. I suggest using more transistors in parallel to each other for higher voltage. That way they all share the power load and dissipate heat amoungst each other.
