How to Make a Treasure Map - easy, even for slow pirates!

I use to make those as maps or old papers, but I had a slight variation and it's a little dangerous. I'd use white paper, but I wouldn't tear along the edges. After crumpling up, I'd make a cup of coffee. Then, I'd take a paint brush and wet everything but the edges of the paper. Then, I'd set the paper on concrete and take a lighter and light the dry edges. The water would keep the important parts from burning. Then let the sun do the rest.

This looks like fun for the whole family... for the parents to make of course! I was thinking of putting it in tea or coffee grounds, that might be cool looking and burn the edges and some in the middle but idk how that will work out. In my head it sounds amazing lol

although this is a very late reply but it’s to make the paper feel more soft like a type of fabric instead of actual paper. will be easier to roll it and put it in a bottle like a real pirate hunt game!
