You said it was simple, but the foundation is what any complicated structure is built on. I just used the principles in the video and by simply adding another point, guess what I built? A PYRAMID!! So even though it has always been the case that shapes are merely the collecting and arrangement of points, this video finally brought it home to ground level. So by adding and arranging additional points I can create..................😊

That's great! Always try to go further and see how things react, that's the way to improve 💪 I forgot to mention what you discovered. Convex Hull connects all the points together, but giving importance to the ones that are further of the total volume (mesh). So, basically as you say adding an extra point (4 points) it creates a pyramid 😄 Well done! I'm glad it helps you, thank you for the feedback! What I like about Geometry Nodes is that it teach you to improve the way to think, the mindset of "problem-solving". I'm always like: How could I achieve this? What if I try this? Why this works like that? So, at the end, it helps you to have more tools and be more creative 😃

Very useful. Will Realize Instances create separate objects of that?

What do you mean with separate objects? If you add Realize instances only in the triangle, you won't see any change. Because Convex Hull already convert it to Mesh data (vertex, edges, faces). But if you add with the spheres, then you will get all the data mesh of these spheres too. Realize Instances convert an Instance (1 single data object) to Data Mesh (have a lot of elements: vertex, edges, faces).

@@Xan3D Ok. great. I see that the node won't get any volume, otherwise we could model and entire 3D object with these triangles. 😀
